I'm new to the industry and wondering if there are any specific ASTMs for wire inspection criteria, mainly for platinum, palladium and gold.

Hello,
ASTM does indeed have some testing criteria for various rare metals in wire form. All you have to do is type in to Google "ASTM Gold Wire", "ASTM Palladium Wire" or "ASTM Platinum Wire" and review those standards that you may have interest in. Then contact ASTM directly to purchase the standards you want.
