HELP Patenting and galvanizing was created by Archived Forum Admin
Hello Sirs:
I'm interested in patenting and galvanizing process (high carbon steel wire) for a thesis in the university.
I have been reading all the forum, and it's very interesting. And I ask for help.
I'm looking for information about this issue and it's not easy to find bibliography about patenting, galvanizing and final wire drawing.
For the experts:
Which is your basic bibliography?
Technical articles?
Web pages?
Thank you for you replies.
Raquel

Hello Raquel
I'm not sure the "Ferrous Wire Handbook" has sufficient information for you. Moreover it is expensive if not already available in your university library. The table of contents can be viewed and the book can be purchased on this web page. www.wirenet.org/waistore/productdetail.cfm?productid=193
Have you tried "Google Patent" www.google.com/patents and Google Scholar scholar.google.ca/ ?

Hello again Raquel,
Just so you don't miss any information at this web site:
There is information that you can review at the Wire Association International Abstract Search Web Page at www.wirenet.org/technical/abstract/abstract.cfm
If you go to this abstract search page, type in "galvanizing" in the "Description Contains" box and then press the "Submit Query" button, you will get a list of 130 technical papers on that subject since 1927. Each paper has a short description and you can order the ones you like, if any.
If you do the same for "patenting", You will get a list of 134 technical papers going back to 1935.
Finally if you go to the Wire Association International Store, Ferrous Section, www.wirenet.org/waistore/prodlist.cfm?categoryid=9 you can review all the media available there.

Would you have specific questions you would like to have answered for the patenting and galvanizing process?, this would help where to direct you or to give you a direct answer.
