Deflection Test

A test where wire is bent through 90 degrees around a mandrel end, then the load is removed and the wire is allowed to spring back, allowing the angle of deflection to be noted. Another method is to wind a wire several times around a mandrel of given diameter under a given tension, then cut the wire and allow it to spring back slowly.
