Bead Wire

Also known as tire wire, this product is made from silicon-killed, hot-rolled, Stelmore-cooled, high carbon (0.65% - 0.80%) steel rod drawn to 0.96–2.00 mm. Tire wire is used to reinforce the bead area of a pneumatic tire. It is typically bronze-coated; however, some manufacturers produce brass-coated bead wire.
