Traitment Thermique was created by Archived Forum Admin
Good evening,

I have a problem during annealing of steel wire. The output wire (1.10 mm) exits with a reddish color, thick layer of scale. Help me solve this problem. The wire rod possesses a carbon content of 0.06%

The reddish color can be due to:

1.- Athmospher in the furnace on the oxidizing side
2.- Higher temperatures than neccessary
3.- Steel rods high on Pb and Mn
